Verkís Participates in IceFish 2024
Verkís will be attending the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition (IceFish). It takes place at Smárinn in Kópavogur from September 18th to 20th. Verkís’ focus at the exhibition will be on energy transition, shore power, and port infrastructure.
Our team will be present throughout the exhibition at booth E42. There we will offer information and consultation on energy transition, shore power connections, electrical systems, and control equipment for ships. Additionally, Verkís is sponsoring the lecture area at the exhibition, where companies will present 30-minute micro-lectures. Verkís will deliver six of these micro-lectures, three on Tuesday and three on Wednesday.
Verkís is a leader in energy transition and has been involved in numerous projects in this field over the years, with a strong background in geothermal and hydropower projects, as well as new knowledge in various ongoing energy transition initiatives. A key focus for Verkís has been energy transition in maritime transportation, where the company is leading two major innovation projects aimed at implementing e-fuel solutions, along with wind and solar energy technologies for sea transport.
Verkís’ team has authored three articles to be presented at the exhibition:
- 17 million energy transition project on e-fuels in international shipping
- Verkís spearheads game-changing e-fuel project
- Verkís leading in energy transition
IceFish is the oldest international fisheries exhibition in Iceland, and this year marks the 14th exhibition, celebrating 40 years since the first event was held.
