Verkís in the first episode of new Autodesk podcast

Ólafur Daníel Jónsson and Péter Farkas

Ólafur Daníel Jónsson, Head of Digitalisation, and Péter Farkas, Structural Engineer at Verkís, are among the first guests on Autodesk’s new podcast series, Next in Transportation, which explores digital development and the future of transportation infrastructure, with a focus on design and operations.

In the episode, they join host Pontus Bengtson to discuss digital delivery and why it has not yet become standard practice across transportation and infrastructure projects, despite numerous successful examples. Particular attention is given to the implementation of ISO 19650, the management and use of data, decision-making, the use of artificial intelligence, and how lessons from major infrastructure projects can be applied to small- and medium-sized projects.

The conversation also looks beyond technology itself, exploring the role of people, processes, collaboration, and leadership in adopting new ways of working and driving meaningful change in the construction and infrastructure industry.

Another episode in the series is also now available, featuring representatives from Lantis in Belgium and exploring what happens when the client takes the lead in a digital transformation journey.

Verkís’ participation in Next in Transportation reflects the company’s focus on digital development and its continued contribution to the international conversation on new ways of improving design and collaboration in infrastructure development.
