Verkís opens new office in Copenhagen

On 17 September, Verkís Rådgivende Ingeniører officially opened its new office at Strandvejen 60 in Hellerup, Copenhagen. Verkís Rådgivende Ingeniører is a subsidiary of Verkís, and the opening marks an important step in the continued development of the company’s operations in Denmark and in strengthening its ties with the Danish market.

To mark the occasion, key partners, clients and other guests were invited to visit the new office and enjoy refreshments. Guests were also introduced to Verkís’ operations and the company’s vision for its future in Denmark.

Close ties with operations in Iceland

The new office will provide a base for Verkís employees living and working in Denmark. They will remain part of Verkís’ professional teams and work closely with colleagues in Iceland.

Initially, the office will focus primarily on Verkís projects in Iceland and Greenland. At the same time, a stronger presence in Denmark creates opportunities to strengthen ties with the Danish market, develop new business relationships and expand collaboration with companies and professionals in Denmark.

The office also provides greater flexibility for employees who wish to live and work in Denmark while continuing to contribute to Verkís projects and remain part of the company’s professional environment. This makes it possible to retain expertise, collaboration and continuity across projects, regardless of where employees are based.

Opportunities for Icelandic students in Denmark

Verkís’ presence in Copenhagen also creates opportunities to build stronger connections with Icelandic students studying engineering and other technical disciplines in Denmark and to introduce them to Verkís, its work and its projects.

After graduating, students may have the opportunity to begin their careers with Verkís from Copenhagen, contribute to the company’s projects and become part of its professional teams. Should they later move back to Iceland, they can continue their careers within the same company.

Through this, Verkís aims to offer a flexible and continuous career path between Iceland and Denmark, where professional development and participation in diverse projects are not determined by where employees choose to live.

The new office is located at the Regus Business Center at Strandvejen 60 in Hellerup. The office strengthens Verkís’ connections with its employees, Icelandic students in Denmark, the Danish business community and professional networks.
