Connecting generations with multi-functioning sports halls
Latest version of Sóknarfæri, Icelandic paper of business community, is focusing on constructions. One article is an interview with Eiríkur Steinn Búason and Gunnar Kristjánsson, both working as project managers at Verkís, about multi-functioning sports halls.
Verkís have been working on five new halls in south-west of Iceland. In Garðabær, Mosfellsbær, Reykjavík, Selfoss and Hafnarfjörður. The reason behind all those new sports hall is probably the popularity of soccer in Iceland.
In recent years the Icelandic national soccer team has been doing a great job. Therefore kids want to try to play soccer like their idols. With sports halls it is possible for kids, and adults as well, to play soccer all year around.
Verkís has a lot of experience in those kinds of projects. For example two sports halls in Hafnarfjörður, sports facility center in Þorlákshöfn and swimming pools all around Iceland and abroad.
