Verkís at Hydro 2024

Verkís participated in Hydro 2024 conference, held in Graz, Austria 18. – 20. November. The conference is an annual event that brings together professionals and serves as a vital platform for advancing knowledge, technology, and partnerships in the hydropower and dam engineering sectors worldwide.

Representing Iceland, Verkís joined forces with three other leading companies with decades of expertise in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of both small and large-scale hydropower projects and power transmission systems. The Icelandic Team shared a booth under the banner of Green by Iceland, highlighting Iceland’s 100-year legacy in hydropower and transmission systems. Alongside Verkís, the team featured Landsvirkjun, Efla and Cowi.

Verkís representatives at the conference were Þorvaldur Guðmundsson, Mechanical Engineer, Valur Árnason, Electrical Engineer, Ívar Sveinsson, Mechanical Engineer and Styrmir Sigurjónsson, Civil and Environmental Engineer.
