Verkís at the 2024 NORDROCS Conference

We are proud to announce that Erla Guðrún Hafsteinsdóttir, Ph.D., Environmental Geochemist at Verkís, was one of the keynote speakers at the 2024 NORDROCS conference. Erla’s presentation, “Contaminated Land Industry in Iceland – where do we stand and where are we heading?”, shed light on the challenges facing Iceland’s contaminated land industry and the exciting potential for future progress. 

The conference, held every two years, gathers over 330 professionals from 15 countries, providing a platform for researchers, consultants, contractors, and government officials to share knowledge and foster collaboration in the field of contaminated site remediation.

Verkís had four representatives attending, and we were thrilled to take part in such a successful event, building new connections and learning from the latest industry insights. 

This marks the 9th NORDROCS conference since its inception in 2006, and we look forward to further contributing to the advancement of this vital field in the years to come.
