Verkís at WGC 2026

Verkís is proud to be part of the Icelandic delegation at the World Geothermal Congress 2026 in Calgary, 8–11 June.

Coordinated by Green by Iceland, the delegation brings together more than 100 geothermal experts from across the geothermal value chain.

Learn more about Iceland’s delegation here.

There will be four participants from Verkís this year: Bjarni Steinar Gunnarsson, Eyþór Sigurðsson, Sæmundur Jónsson, and Þorleikur Jóhannesson. All are mechanical engineers and part of our energy team.

At Verkís, we build on decades of experience integrating geothermal solutions into Iceland’s energy infrastructure — from early-stage design and engineering to long-term operation and sustainable resource management.

Geothermal development is not only about the resource itself, but also about how it is designed, connected, and operated as part of a reliable energy system. Iceland’s experience offers valuable insight for markets working to scale geothermal as a long-term energy solution.

We look forward to meeting partners and industry professionals at the Iceland Pavilion.
