Stapaskóli

Stapaskóli is a comprehensive school, i.e. kindergarten, elementary school, music school, leisure school and social center.

Verkís handles the complete design of all engineering factors.

Project overview

Total number of students will be 500. About 60 people will work at the school. The total size of Stapaskóli will be about 7.700m² and the size of the school premises will be about 33.300 m².

This project is a BIM project where the objectives at the design sign are defined in an organized manner. For example, harmonization of all professional models, visual design reviews and systematic collision analyzes us carried out evenly throughout the design period in BIM 360 Glue.

The Challenge

Stapaskóli was envisioned as a modern educational campus that combines a kindergarten, primary school, music school, after-school programme and community centre under one roof. The project required a highly coordinated engineering approach to create a flexible, future-ready facility that supports education, recreation and community life.

Our Solution

Verkís provided complete multidisciplinary engineering design for the 7,700 m² development, covering all engineering disciplines. The project was delivered using Building Information Modelling (BIM), with continuous model coordination, clash detection, visual design reviews and integrated collaboration to ensure efficient design, high quality and seamless coordination throughout the project.

The Result

Stapaskóli delivers a modern, sustainable and adaptable learning environment for approximately 500 students and 60 staff, while also serving as an important community hub. Through integrated BIM-based engineering and multidisciplinary collaboration, Verkís helped create a future-ready educational facility designed to meet the evolving needs of both the school and the surrounding community.
