Bouillante 1&2 geothermal power plant

Verkís has been engaged in various assignments for Geóthermie Bouillante from feasibility study and conceptual design for development of the plant.

Project overview

Linked among others to reinjection, to inspection and expertise services on plant condition, operation and maintenance.
The Geothermal Power Plant in Guadeloupe, Carribean, is a 15 MW plant producing electricity with two turbo-generator sets powered by saturated steam from geothermal wells. The first generator 1,5 MW, went online in 1996 and the second 10 MW, in 2004. The plant contributed to almost 5% of the island‘s electricity supplies in 2011. The plant is operated by Géothermie Bouillante which is 97.8% owned by the French Geological Survey BRGM and 2.2% by EDF.
