Drangey SK

Drangey SK is a 62.5-metre-long fishing vessel with a beam of 13.5 metres, designed to maximise operational efficiency and energy performance.

The vessel is equipped with advanced systems that continuously optimise energy utilisation during both fishing operations and transit.

Project overview

The vessel has a gross tonnage of 2,081 GT and a maximum speed of 14 knots. All winches are electrically powered, while the vessel’s trawl winches provide a pulling force of 40 tonnes. The bridge features an integrated display wall that enables the captain to monitor key navigation and fish-finding systems simultaneously through a single visual interface.

The fish processing equipment on the intermediate deck was supplied by Skaginn 3X and includes processing lines, superchilling equipment, and container handling systems.

Verkís contributed to several key technical systems on board, including electrical design for the fish hold system, fish grading system, and refrigeration systems. Verkís was also responsible for the design, programming, installation, and testing of the vessel’s display system, as well as the development of the signal database used by the industrial control computers. The database manages signal names, descriptions, and communication addresses required for data exchange between onboard control systems and operator interfaces.
